Hey y'all. I know, long time no hear, eh? Well, I figured I'd give you guys an update, at least.

Oh and don't worry. The features will return soon. Don't know when but they'll be back.

Anyway, as for the knee surgery (please for the love of God spare me those damn Skyrim jokes about it. I've heard it enough times by now) it went very well. I am to get the stitches out on Wednesday and frankly I'm feeling good. The bump on my knee is finally gone! Essentially what happened was that the meniscus was shaved down, thereby removing the torn-to-hell part. After the stitches are out, another round of physical therapy for me, and also for my hip, as I'm suffering from trochanteric bursitis, as well. But right now my knee is essentially back to where it was before the surgery, hell before my accident five and a half years ago, during the summer of 2006. Essentially I fell down and gashed my knee on a piece of busted concrete in front of my steps. Symptoms didn't show up until districts of 2007 (when I was on the track team) and the Tuesday after I saw the athletic trainer who told me matter-of-factly, "Elora, you tore your meniscus. You need an X-ray." So, in between two X-rays, physical therapy, the MRI and the surgery, I think it's about time I get back to being sporty.

Oh, as for artwork, I deeply apologize. I've not been feeling too inspired lately. I hate it and this damn art block. It'll go away, hopefully when I'm not so stressed out over stuff as of late. *folds arms*

Another bit of news, I have chapter 22 of ASAR completed. I finished it back in January and I've been meaning to post it. It'll get posted tonight. Also, one of the works I've been coloring is almost finished. And at Drexel, I am now Card Game chair of Drexel's Anime and Gaming Organization (AGO). I am now responsible for events for card games and the like. And I finally got a job in my field (somewhat). I am a research assistant in Dr. Kim's lab. It's technically through a grant, but I'm not gonna complain. It's chemistry-based, but that's no problem. My engineering project had some chemistry-based parts and this is right up my alley. What shocked me more than anything was that it was offered only to me, no one else, in part to my knowledge of Korean (I think) and Dr. Kim did teach my Thermo Analysis class. Hey, if anyone's gonna tell me if my pronunciation's off, it'll be him.

It also helps that I watch Korean historical dramas, like Emperor Wang Guhn, but I digress. (Sorry but Seoul 1945 isn't my cup of tea, as I prefer the ancient historical dramas, and that one happens to techincally be a war one.)

Anyway, his grad student was shocked that I knew some Korean as well, and if I weren't in this damn mess now, I'd probably be in Korean 102, but well...yeah. Rather not discuss that here. Curious? Inbox me.

Anyhow, therapy has been going well. I'll be frank. If I wasn't going to therapy, I'd probably be in the psych ward in Bridgeton Hospital. The therapy has quite literally saved my life and the symptoms of my post-traumatic stress disorder are finally, finally, finally easing up. Case in point: When I was sitting in the waiting area for the surgery on the 20th, I had not one bit of anxiety due to being in the hospital. Before I would have a bad panic attack and need to get out of there pretty quickly. Now I don't even get nervous or anxious.  My depression has been a real bitch and a real monster to tackle, and that I need help with, along with getting my anger under control better, which I've found that when playing games I can get quite pissed but afterward I'm alright. I'm quite pleasant outside of card games and video games. But when I play them against others in a competitive setting, well I tend to get really aggressive. This I will not deny. At least I show proper sportsmanship and shake my opponent's hand after it's done. That's a habit I plan on keeping once I become a pro wrestler.

This week is midterm week and I have another next week, as well. What doesn't help is that I have a head cold (Thanks, Dad) and not getting enough rest the night before made it far worse.

To reiterate from a previous journal, Commissions are closed until I get caught up to the ones I owe.

Hope everyone else had a good holiday. I know I did. I beat Skyward Sword and Okamiden. I swear Chibi and the Remlits are so darn cute! :3

So, how bout them Giants! :D Sorry Patriot fans. Perhaps next year they won't choke during the big game. >:D

It is excellent to hear you recovered from the knee injury, and it is also great to learn your recovery is faring well. You have a tremendously powerful fortitude to withstand all the pain and surgeries!

Also, I have just finished reading chapter 11 of ASAR, and it has been a very engaging and well developed series, and having never watched the show, you've really build my interest in the series now.

When you wrote on the Korean language, I found it ironic, as I had been watching a Korean drama, "Treeless Mountain" on the Sundance channel. the language is incredibly clear and it has a really rich tone to it.
I agree, I would be taking different languages, but we could only afford one language course, which was Spanish, as my mother speaks it, but I would have prefer Russian or Chinese.
