Poison-Stripes

-sigh- I'm sorry y'all. As it happens, life got away from me. Again. I am working on making certain that I post more art more often.

I have also been diagnosed with ADHD and I am also on the spectrum, in addition to anxiety and depression. Thankfully, I am getting treatment.

Oh, and before I forget, I am rewriting ASAR from the beginning. Main reason is MGS5 (thanks Kojima). Second reason is Power Rangers 25th anniversary episode. I am alao getting it proofread before I post. Chapter 1 of the rewrite is up on Archive of Our Own, and I'll get to posting it here and on fanfiction.net. The character of Lady Snake has been extensively reworked, rebuilt, developed as I've RPed with her over on Discord, and she is now a planeswalker, like Poison is (who has also been worked on and developed as well in part thanks to continuous role-playing her over on Tumblr and Discord). Fear not, ASAR is still primarily a Power Rangers/Metal Gear crossover, and crossed over into MtG. This makes Lady Snake a fanwalker along with Poison (by a techincality).

This rewrite was a long time coming, truth be told. I was also not in a very good headspace years ago and I can honestly say that I'm in a good place overall to rewrite my little pet project with all the love and devotion it fully deserves.

Hey y'all! I am back, baby!

Gods, has it been really six years since I've been here? I'm so very sorry for disappearing like that. Been on Tumblr for a while and I am glad to be back here.

Life happened and in a pain in the ass way, such as being diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Anxiety, and yes even PTSD. I am on medication for all of these and receiving therapy to help me fight back from the abuse I've suffered (and I am still coming to terms with that I actually was abused by "friends" and how I was treated was never okay and never will be okay) and also fighting my demons with a veeerry big stick. 

I have also updated my commissions list and I also have a ko-fi page as well. I am so very sorry for vanishing like I did. As I said, a combination of life, stress, and anxiety drove me away. I am on the mend and there's a lot for me to get up to speed on.

As far as my fanfic goes, I am saying it right now. I am going to be rewritting the entire thing from the beginning. This is because of events in Metal Gear Solid 5 plus the anniversary episode from Power Rangers: Ninja Steel. This will result in the entire story being taken down and writing over again from scratch. 

*gives 2012 a good swift kick in the rear* Thanks and no thanks! Damn Year of the Dragon...Hello 2013 and the Year of the Snake! (and yes I know that people are gonna be making that gag this year. Go right ahead! *noms on popcorn*)

Anyway, hope you all had a good new year! I am so so so very happy, myself. 2012 was one of the worst years I've ever had, with my nightmare and job hunting and all that jazz, along with having to come home and well...I'd rather not get into detail with my Drexel headache. Go read previous journals if you're curious.

I did, however, have some good points. For one I finally got my knee surgery done back in January of last year. I also bought Jace the Mind Sculptor (and then what happens after I get him? JTMS jumps up in price. Oh well) after searching for over two years. I also FINALLY got a laptop with a new OS that works and also cooperates with me. I also managed to get Pokemon Black 2, as well (and so far I'm so enjoying it and the Xtransceiver calls with Curtis and yes I've beaten the game). I chose Snivy as my starter and called him 'Snake' and in continuing in the MGS vein, a male Tepig will be called 'Pig Boss' and the male Oshawott 'Revolver'. I've also beaten the main story for Peace Walker and started to replay MGS2. I've been putting out more chapters for ASAR, my little crossover fanfic of Power Rangers and Metal Gear. I also have a working phone, again, and once I get my other one going, this phone will be for emergencies, only.

Now, here are some of my goals for this year:
FINALLY FINISH ALL THE COMMISSIONS I OWE PEOPLE *gets brick'd*
Put out ref sheets for Poison-Stripes (which I have finished sketching mostly. Needs to be colored and I gotta redo Stripes' face and head as I'm not happy with it currently) and Lady Snake (for her sneaking suit, divine form and her default Ranger form)
Get my driver's license. Yeah, I know, but mainly my dad's been all like "I don't want to put you on my insurance policy" but well, I'm tired of that.
Get a job, period.
GET BACK TO DREXEL AND FINISH MY BACHELOR'S IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING!!! 0^0
Get internet back at home, and cable by extension.
More personal artworks and such.
Complete my planeswalker collection as much as I can (speaking of Wizards, I'll get to THEM in another journal).

And dammit I'm gonna do all of these!! Come hell or high water I'll accomplish my goals!!! *slams fist into table* Ow....I gotta stop doing that.

Secondly, yes like most of everyone here my year has not been too well, as many of you have seen previous journals. Anyway, I did my civic duty last week and voted. I am quite pleased with the results.

Something I want to reiterate is that I've been battling both art blocks and depression, and well I'm working on stuff, guys. I'll get to them, don't worry. Apologies to all who are waiting on stuff from me.

Anyway, next week is my birthday (where I turn 26!) Oh go ahead, make with the quarter of a century old jokes, I've done heard them all.

Anyway, yes my friends. Hurricane Sandy came and went. The section of New Jersey that I live in happens to be near the water, but as Vineland is not a shore town, it was not evacuated, and even when it did hit all it did was knock our power out briefly, as someone had it a transformer. But in the end all Vineland suffered from was a shitton of ran (about a few inches) and some downed branches. That's it. That derecho we had back in June? THAT SHIT DID MORE DAMAGE. SEVERAL branches were knocked down, downed wires everywhere, Columbia Avenue was closed off COMPLETELY and a good majority of people didn't have power for at least a WEEK. I had no power for two and a half days. So Sandy, you disappointed me. The meteorologist had you out as the second Perfect Storm coming that was gonna devastate the Tri-State area. Yes I know that the shore towns got slammed and flooded out and yes I know 61 people were killed all up and down the East Coast. I'm just saying that after the derecho that hit us a few months ago, I was expecting Sandy to be just as bad if not worse for my neck of the woods. I also really hope that the rescuers also find any survivors and I really hope that the areas that did get slammed really badly recover fully. I understand that the areas that were hit the hardest are going to have a long road of recovery.

With that being said, I am also without a working phone as mine has quit. *sigh* It's annoying, if anything else.

Again, I want to reiterate something: my heart goes out to those who were devastated by Hurricane Sandy. I hope they recover well and may those who died because of the storm rest in peace.

Anyway, I have also finally decided on a certain person's Divine Form. Not telling who it is or what it is. You'll have to be patient and wait and see.
