Allegory Of a Warrior
It's a thankless chore
Day in and day out.
But it's one that no one else
can or will do.
Unless one of us dies, in battle or otherwise
And then recruitment's the fun part.
Not a good prospect, however.
No pay, though
All volunteers
Unlike those rent-a-cop jerks in out west,
but I digress.
Nights are long, days are even rougher
but someone has to do it
Even if it's just some poor sap
All by their lonesome.
At least the effort's being made
to protect the place
Cops can't do everything
Half the stuff we done
Even the military doesn't know
Nor will they ever
The fears
Fear of death
Fear of being discovered
Fear of exploita
